Specialized Amenities and Services

Patient Representatives

Our patient representatives are here to help. If you have any needs, problems or concerns, please contact our patient representatives by calling 601-553-6392.

Volunteers

It is in the spirit of giving that the Volunteer Auxiliary began in 1982. Each charter member gave from their heart to serve patients and visitors. That same spirit of compassion continues today.

A volunteer can be anyone over the age of 18 with a desire to meet the needs of the community. We have retirees, students and people who wish to give their spare time to help others. All are from various backgrounds and each brings their own special experiences and a willing heart. We comfort patients and guests who are alone, deliver flowers and cards, welcome and escort visitors, staff information desks and provide clerical help to hospital staff. Volunteers offer smiles, helping hands, caring words and thoughtful services.

As a member of our team, you can expect to receive fulfillment from helping others, fellowship with other volunteers, and the opportunity to learn new skills. After 30 hours of service and a minimum of 4 hours of service per week, you will also receive a complimentary membership to our fitness center and other perks such as a cafeteria meal coupon and free annual flu shot.

If you would like to learn more about becoming a volunteer, please call our Volunteer Auxiliary Coordinator at 601-553-6392.

Wi-Fi

Baptist Anderson-South offers free wireless internet access for our patients and visitors. Wireless access points are located throughout the hospital.
