What can a patient expect when they have you as a doctor?

Patients can expect a great listener with medical knowledge, compassion and a kind bedside manner; a doctor who will work with them to provide the best care possible without judgements. I’ve seen the care of women from the patient and physician side, and I work hard to make sure everyone I see receives equitable and proper care, with a good bedside manner, a listening ear and a caring heart.

What is the most important factor in a doctor patient relationship and why?

Trust. The patient must trust the physician to listen and suggest the best medical decisions for them. The physician must trust the patient to hear our concerns and the diagnosis, as well as the treatment options available and what we feel is best for them. Without trust, a physician is just talking without a purpose, and the patient doesn't make him or herself heard in a way that leads to the best care and outcome.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy when you're not working?

In my personal time, I enjoy playing with my children, music, movies, and a good hair and skin care regimen.

What about your line of work do you find the most rewarding and why?

I find helping a patient through a challenging pregnancy or delivery the most rewarding aspect of what I do, because bringing new life into the world is a difficult and often painful job and I love helping women find their strength to do what they know is possible.
