Meet The Doctor

What can a patient expect when they have you as a doctor?

A passionate health care professional who treats various diseases related to the gastrointestinal tract with special focus on complex endoscopic procedures of the biliary pancreatic tree. I have completed two fellowships in ERCP and EUS at a nationally and internationally recognized tertiary hospital and am continuously engaged with upcoming research and developments in that field.

What is the most important factor in a doctor patient relationship and why?

Trust. I work hard to gain the trust of my patients and their families. My close interaction with other specialists that treat patients with cancer and terminally ill individuals has helped me become more aware of other associated psychosocial aspects when approaching such patients.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy when you're not working?

I enjoy hiking, biking and table tennis.

What about your line of work do you find the most rewarding and why?

Curing patients and the satisfaction I get with building long-lasting, trusting patient relationships, as well as the collaboration between the referring health care providers and the rest of my team, is a most precious gift in our line of work. Also, I believe every chance I get to interact with young future talents, to pass on my experience and pearls of wisdom to the next generation of care givers, adds more to the beauty of our profession.
