Parker Harris

Hospital CEO and Administrator

Parker Harris, CEO and AdministratorParker Harris became CEO and administrator of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton, including the Baptist Cancer Center infusion centers, in January 2019. Parker came to Baptist as an administrative fellow in May 2016. He later joined Baptist in a newly created role—administrative director for hospitals and affiliate integration—after completing graduate school. Harris earned his master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Memphis in 2016 and his Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Memphis in 2013. He helped lead transitional activities after Baptist and Mississippi Baptist Health System of Jackson, Mississippi, signed a shared mission agreement in 2017.  Most recently, Harris helped transition the assets and operations of McKenzie Regional Hospital in McKenzie, Tennessee, to Baptist.(TBD)

Carlos Mendoza

Chief Financial Officer

Carlos Mendoza, Chief Financial OfficerCarlos Mendoza manages the hospital’s financial operations, revenue cycle, and budgets. He also serves as Baptist Tipton's Privacy Officer. Carlos has worked for Baptist in various roles since 1995, most recently as the CFO and Controller of Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital in Germantown, TN. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Belhaven College in Jackson, MS, and his MBA in finance from Union University in Jackson, TN.

Joy Gilmore, MSN, RN

Chief Nursing Officer

Joy Gilmore, MSN, RNJoy Gilmore heads development and implementation of all nursing and related patient care activities while serving with the hospital leadership team. Prior to joining Baptist, Gilmore was the operations administrator for Laurelwood Pediatrics where she was responsible for the day-to-day operations, staff management and revenue cycle management. She also served as Chief Operating Officer at Gastro One in Memphis, and Director of Clinical Practice for UT Methodist Healthcare leading oncology and surgical practice operations. A graduate of Baptist College of Health Sciences (now Baptist Health Sciences University), she also holds a Master of Science in Nursing with Management and Leadership degree from Western Governors University.
